Possibly braxton hicks - but should I call hospital just in case?

I'm 29+4 weeks. Been feeling weird all day. Haven't been able to get comfortable and have been feeling sick as well. Had braxton hicks earlier on today for the first time that I've known it's definitely it. But this evening, it started again but feels different this time. I had cramping in my stomach, which then lead to me having diarrhea. This was about 2 hours ago. I now feel sick again, lightheaded, and sore down below. It feels like the baby's kicking me really far down near my vagina. I keep breaking out into a sweat. I've had a few times when the contractions whether real or fake have made me go "owww". I also seem to be discharging quite a bit but it's not watery or bloody.

I'm about to get into the bath to see if that will calm things down. Baby seems to be very active all of a sudden. DP is worried. This is my second, but it doesn't feel like when I went into labour with DD, which makes me just think it's braxton hicks, but then there is a part of me that is worrying.

Has anyone else had similar with braxton hicks?

Why wouldn't you call the hospital? The on call midwife team is there exactly for this purpose.

I've had truly awful BH that have made me think I'm in labour when I haven't been. I've called the hospital & expressed my concerns & they've always been fantastic with me. I'm very lucky. BH are just your body's way of limbering up for the main event.

As a mother of 3, I would give the hospital a wee ring. It's probably nothing, but its always better to be safe than sorry, If they can't reassure you then they will check you.
As an aside, in my 2nd & 3rd pregnancies the labours have been VERY much shorter than my 1st labour & I knew the difference between BH & actual contractions very quickly.

Best of luck Bear xx

Thanks. I just didn't want to cause a fuss I suppose lol. Had my bath and feel better for it so will just monitor the situation and if it starts again, will call them.

I had terrible BH with DS2, got checked over a couple of times. Had a very quick labour when it started (1.5hrs start to finish).

Hope all is well.
