So got everything ready at home, been done for a while so happy/unstressed about that.

Just finished work today; been working too hard prob and doesn't feel real I won't be there next week.

Am being induced at 39 weeks so the realization only a little over 2 weeks to go is kinda shocking! I'm tired and a bit uncomfortable but manageable, so i see these eviction threads and get worried I don't feel like that yet. Maybe I just need these 2 wks to get my head sorted.

Any advice anyone to prepare a first timer?!
Thanks :)

I think lots of people feel like this. Of those that can't wait to get it out quite a few are probably having a hard time with the pregnancy.
Enjoy having a couple of weeks off. Do some nice things if you can like going out to dinner with your DP as you wont be able to for ages.
And stock up on food, easy ready food type things that you can chuck in the oven.

I was the same. I burst into tears when I saw the little empty cot in the delivery room. I was thinking "I'M NOT READY!". Many years later, and I'm still amazed. Good luck!

I really wasn't ready, waters broke at 36+4, DS born at 37 by EMCS. So I didn't have any of those thoughts as literally had not got into that mode yet. This time, I'm 31 weeks, will be difficult as we're in serious house renovation hell and i'll need to move into a holiday let when baby arrives, so won't really be able to be really ready this time either! But babies seem to be able to fit right in, you'll be fine. Good luck!
