... Kind of flattered, but have to laugh at the timing of it. I swear - i did the test in the loos on the way to work this morning. Then over lunch I had an unexpected 'My boss likes you and wonders if you'd like to join the team in six months when you are out of your current contract lock-in'.

Obviously can't take the job now - assuming pregnancy OK - told them 'let's keep talking, but can't really say yes now'.

... wondering if I could get away with them keeping the offer open for over a year to allow me to have at least six months maternity leave....

... I do need a pay rise if I'm to afford two sets of nursery fees!
