Apologies as I do have a thread running in the miscarriage section, but I wondered if anyone on here had any more knowledge or advice?
I had a scan last Thursday at 8+1 after a very small amount of spotting (just a few drops) and some stomach and backache. The scan apparently suggested that I was about 6 weeks pregnant - with a 4mm foetal pole, 17mm (I think) sac that was a good shape and no sign of what had caused the bleeding.
Having googled loads I was reassured that I could be about 6wks pregnant as I do ovulate late and if implantation was slow then its just about possible. But obviously the heartbeat is more difficult to explain away. I had an external and internal scan as I have a retroverted (tilted) uterus so hard to see clearly - although he did see the foetal pole etc on the external scan.
So has anyone been in this position and had a good outcome. I've been trying for 1.5years to get pregnant, so this feels devastating. I have another scan on Monday, but don't know if I should keep trying to keep my hopes/spirits up or accept that its not going to end well.
