Advice regarding an induction

ok I may not even need to b induced but ny midwife told me yesterday at my 40+3 appt she will call me today with an induction date. She said it should b for 10 days over as it's a big baby? Which would make it next Tuesday? Think that's right. Well she hasn't phoned me? I rang the Drs surgery they said they will leave a message in her book but she won't b in till next Tuesday I said but I should b induced by then? So I rang antenatal they said leave a voicemail on midwives phone but the voicemail says they will get back to me within 2 working days so say late Friday or Monday?

Is it ok to just sit and wait to hear from her or should I be pushing them to give me a date? I have never been induced and I'm not sure if it's easy / hard to get a time or date or if it doesn't actually matter if I go over the 10 days. I'm a wee bit confused ?

They won't just forget me will they? As I have no more midwife appointments now ?
