I know, i know, I could just use the rucksack that's stuffed under the stairs, but I want to treat myself and get a nice bag to take with me when i go in for my c-section.

Just wondered what you were all thinking?!

I used a small wheelie case from qd. Honestly, when it comes to it you won't care about the bag! Save your money Smile

I'm just planning to use my kickboxing bag, a nice sized holdall that everything will fit in, but not too big to get in the way.

elvislives2012 · 01/08/2012 05:19

I'm just using a bag I have already. Bit skint and can't justify a new bag :)
Why not save your money or use it to buy something else? Like a nice pair of maternity pyjamas for after the section?

lilbreeze · 01/08/2012 05:21

A puma sports bag from Argos Smile

elvislives2012 · 01/08/2012 05:22

^ that sounds really old womany!!! Get a new bag of it makes u feel happier :)

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 01/08/2012 05:22

bric. I didn't buy it especially. Was a wedding present. It is lovely though and a good size for a 3 night stay.

greenbananas · 01/08/2012 06:37

I bought a cheap holdall from the local market. It was a hideous shade of bright red but had lots of pockets so I could find different things easily.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 01/08/2012 08:44

I have a travel bag that's like a small hold all from Monsoon.

Love it. Was big enough last summer so I'm using it again this time. Was about £40. And we use it if we're all going out for the day with picnics or to the each etc so it gets a good use.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 01/08/2012 08:44

Accessorize-not Monsoon Confused

trikken · 01/08/2012 09:01

Used a massive but fairly cheap bag from primark. nothing fancy but big for everything I needed.

KittieCat · 01/08/2012 09:03

We found a wheelie suitcase great as it meant we could put the other bag and pillow on top of it rather than DH being laden with everything.

I'm using my existing £12 red and black wheely case from Sports direct (yep classy lady me) but to balance that up, the baby is getting the brand new, still currently in the packaging Babasling changing bag.

BikeRaceRunningRaceNoSkiing · 01/08/2012 09:21

I used a North Face holdall I have had for years.

Pascha · 01/08/2012 09:23

Why don't you get a really great changing bag for afterwards, use it as your hospital bag with the essential bits in (babygro, hat, makeup, hairbrush, lippy Wink and use the rucksack under the stairs for all the other gumph?

celebmum · 01/08/2012 12:52

I've a big hold all from Accessorize too! (a navy blue flowery one!) was perfect last time, also gets used as my ' airplane hand luggage' bag and the family swimming bag! Grin

celebmum · 01/08/2012 12:54

Actually now I think about it I used the holdall for me/my stuff (and snacks etc for DH!) and the change bag that came with my silvercross for the new babies things..

Emmiedarling · 01/08/2012 13:11

I hear ya! Use my 'eurgh' bag for the hospital and put my pennies into getting a decent change bag.

So then...next question.

Best change bag?!!!! I was thinking Storksak (one at the cheaper end as I really can not justify £200 on one!)

I reckon I'll just be bringing a small wheelie suitcase - haven't given it any thought really.

I love the Anorak changing bags Anorak but not sure I'll get one. I bought a teeny tiny bag from Jojo Maman Bebe last time and it was brilliant as it took no space under the buggy, in a regular handbag etc. It held a changing mat, small box for wipes and three nappies - all you need. If I buy a big nappy bag, I'll fill it full of crap.

jimswifeinTokyo1964 · 01/08/2012 21:55

Mine with ds2 was from tescos. Literally. A carrier bag. Couldnt be bothered with any faffing about, after using almost nothing I took in with me for ds1, & the hospital being so filthy anyway!

PrimaBallerina · 01/08/2012 22:16

I bought a lovely big brown leather men's weekend bag from M&S. I felt guilty at the time but I still love it and have used it a fair bit since.

MissPollysTrolleyed · 02/08/2012 08:10

Jimswife I didn't use anything from my hospital bag first time either so am not spending too much time thinking or packing mine this time!

Naisy · 02/08/2012 13:35

Chocolate leather Hugo Boss weekender for me (already owned it though) and a Longchamp bag for the baby (a knock off one I bought in Beijing!)
