I am pregnant with dc4, due in January.

I wanted to give birth at my local birthing centre but after seeing the midwife last week she has said that as it says I am high risk on my notes I won't be allowed and will have to go to the hospital a bit further away.

I'm not entirely sure why I am high risk - I will be 30 years old, am a size 14 so not hugely over weight, had 3 previously good labours - induced twice and one natural birth. No c-sections, forceps etc

The only problem I have ever had us that i had choliostasis with dc2 but only mildly and didn't get it again with dc3.

I will ask the midwife when I see her next month but am just curious as to why I am high risk.

i guess you would be aware of any high blood pressure issues or if any urine samples had come back with some protien and/or glucose in??

they should definetly be answering your queries i think!

its either that, or shes made a mistake with your notes? or picked up someone else's by mistake?
do your notes say anything in that might give you a clue?

I think it's because it will because it's your dc4 and there is more risks involved that's all.

I had the same :)

On the form I saw it automatically assumed you were higher risk if it's your 4th (or more) baby.
