Hi, I'm about 6 weeks preg with second little one, and apart from missed period and 2 positive preg tests, I don't really feel pregnant! Is this unusual? Even at this early stage when expecting dd, I felt a bit sick and bloated and was extraordinarily tired. (Not that I think I would notice the tiredness so much as running around after a 13 month old, I'm pretty knackered anyway!). It sounds churlish to complain and believe me I'm not. But it just seems a bit weird. I went to Docs today to book in as it were and she wasn't overly concerned. I guess I just want to know I'm not alone. This baby was planned and wanted and happened so much more quickly than me and dh expected, I suppose I'm just a little worried something is wrong.

I didn't know I was pg until 7weeks so didn't feel any symptoms, however by week 9............bleeuurrgghh!! Grin

jellyjelly · 07/03/2006 14:22

Dont worry and count your blessings i was sick so often and even after ds was born.

cece · 07/03/2006 14:26

I am about 7 weeks pg and no sickness either. But I am not surprised as I did not have it with my other 2 either.

I have had some but not much in the way of sore boobs and I also some tiredness but only on certain days.

HopingCat · 07/03/2006 16:32

I'm about 5.5 weeks pg and I don't have any symptoms really. Like you I really wish I felt different somehow as it doesn't feel real at the moment!

coppertop · 07/03/2006 16:37

This is my 3rd pregnancy (37wks) and I didn't have any real symptoms at all at 6 weeks. (Made up for it later on though! :o) Even when the morning sickness did eventually start I still didn't feel pregnant until I saw the screen at my 12wk scan.

Hi

my friend is 10 weeks pregnant with her 2nd baby and has no sickness at all, despite having had pretty bad morning sickness the first time round. She doesn't feel pregnant either. All pregnancies are different - just because you feel better this time doesn't mean there's anything wrong!

Poppyshed · 07/03/2006 18:33

Hi Ladies, thanks for the feedback and kind words. I just thought it was a bit weird, and yes, you are right all pregs are different. Believe me I know I'm lucky, I've seen the threads with the poor souls who are throwing up, bleeding, cramping or even struggling to get pregnant. I know how lucky I am. I think what niggles is that we really thought we would be waiting ages before I got pregnant this time and when it happened straight away, although we were and are delighted, this happened to a close friend who miscarried soon after. Still I will enjoy my lack of symptoms for now and moan later when the constipation and sleepless nights kick in! Thanks again.

I'm 5 weeks and have not had any symptons yet. Last time I didn't get them til 6/7 weeks and the sore boobs never hit me. I only had MS. I'm hoping this time, I won't be quite so sick!

I was like this. I had an awful 1st pregnancy and this one so far has been a breeze. It is hard not to worry but remember that some women don't have any sickness.
I even worked with a woman who didn't know she was pg until 7 months. So it is possible Grin

Congratulations Smile

Angeliz · 08/03/2006 09:40

I had no sickness really with first 2. This one a little bit but not muchSmile
chill out and enjoy!

MumtoBen · 11/03/2006 21:26

I didn't feel pregnant either. I did my pregnancy test alone and at times I was worried that I had dreamt the result and wasn't actual pregnant! At my nuchal fold scan I half expected to be told that I wasn't pregnant after all.

novis · 12/03/2006 00:14

Hi, this is my first post here and my first ever post to announce my pregnancy to the world! I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and so far have only felt mild cramping and tiredness. I wouldn't have been worrying but for reading that morning sickness means a healthy pregnancy! However on doing research this seems to be somewhat misleading as there's no research to suggest not having it means otherwise! I am trying to chill and enjoy feeling okay...long may it continue!! Wink

bubbly1973 · 12/03/2006 00:27

poppyshed, dont worry at all, when i had my ds who is 3.9years, i didnt have any symptons what so ever apart from swollen legs at about 12weeks, on this pregnancy im 27weeks and i dont even have the swollen legs!!!

i guess im one of the lucky ones who enjoys pregnancy as i dont have any sickness or tiredness (although i do lie to my dh and say im tired so i get pampered!!) the only thing i get which i wish i didnt is heartburn! but im 27weeks and this in going to happen to me as baby is taking up more and more room

soooo enjoy your pregnancy and congratulations!

Blackduck · 12/03/2006 09:31

Some people are sick, some aren't, some are sick for one pregnancy andnot for another - it varies. I was never sick, I was knackered thou'. Have a friend who was not sick for first pg and then was so ill for the second she thoought she had something seriously wrong with her.....Don't stress.

novis · 12/03/2006 23:23

Thanks for the welcome - can u point me in the right direction for the 'due in Nov' thread. Thanks Smile

colinandcaitlinsmommy · 13/03/2006 00:08

I had no sickness at all with either of my 2. They both turned out to be wonderfully healthy children, and fairly easy pregnancies. Hopefully yours will be the same. To find the due in November boards, check under topics, then ante-natal clubs, and look for the one saying November 2006.

MummyToToby · 20/03/2006 17:32

i havent been sick at all either

lucy5 · 20/03/2006 17:56

I didnt have sickness with dd and I worried about it. I think it's just the thing of being preggers, you worry if you are sick and worry if youre not. Congatulations you lot, i'm trying to concieve and hopefully will be puking along with the rest of you very soon. Wink

velcrobott · 20/03/2006 17:57
