When did you feel movements in second pregnancy?

I'm sure this must have been asked many times before but I'm being too lazy to search the archive.
I'm 17+4 with my second and don't think I've felt any movements - I've felt a few flutters but that could just be my digestive system. Last pregnancy I think I was 19 weeks before I felt anything; however, my midwife said I should expect to feel something by 18 weeks this time.
I'm just at that stage when I don't feel pregnant as I'm not really showing yet and have stopped feeling sick.

I felt movements by about 19w with my first, and had the first faint flutters by about 17w with DC2. My placenta is at the front though, which often means movements aren't felt as often or as strongly at first. Did the sonographer at your 12w scan mention where your placenta is?

EarnestDullard - no, she didn't mention the placenta, though I had an anterior one last time so perhaps it's the same again.

14ish weeks with DC1

12/13 weeks with DC2

Both times placenta has been at the back and high up.

Dc 1 18wks
Dc 2 16-17wks
Current bump 12wks and now at 19wks I'm feel a lot of kicking!

1st time about 14 weeks, despite anterior placenta.

This time about 16 weeks with posterior placenta, but VERY sporadic, and only feeling every day from about 20 weeks. I wasn't even sure that it was baby movement at 16 weeks tbh. And I didn't feel any of the (plentiful) movement we could see at the 20 week scan.

Placenta at front in the way both times, with DS dont remember feeling until 22 weeks but didnt know what too look for i dont think!

This time im 17+3 and ive had a few flutters

ShowOfHands · 30/07/2012 18:07

At 16 weeks you could see and feel ds's kicks. The mw was Shocked.

Only on my first, now 22 weeks but started feeling him really early (about 13 weeks), movements now very strong. I had lost loads of weight with hyperemesis though and they said this was probably why I felt it so early. Are you a bit heavier than you were last time? Might explain a bit of a delay?

Hi I could have written your post I am 17 +1 weeks and not feeling much ! Am starting to worry a bit too ! I haven't had any checks since my 10 week scan and am thinking of phoning midwife or gp to see if they will listen for a heart beat ?
