Hi - I'm sure it's fine, but as this is my first pregnancy and I've never experienced it before, can you tell me if it's usual to have mild cramping (like mild period pains) at this early stage of pregnancy? I'm just terrified of losing it. Thanks in advance.

My first pregnancy it felt like my period was going to start at any moment for weeks. I think its just stretching pains. Hope it all goes well!

Yes I had that as well in both pregnancies. Am now 9+4 in my second. I think its stretching and your body getting ready to expand for the growing baby. I'm sure you'll be fine. Especially if there is no bleeding with it. If you're worried going forward you can always go to your hospital's epu. I had to have an early scan at 6+1 due to some early bleeding and they could already see a heartbeat at that stage. Good luck!

I had it, and a little bleeding too, but went for an early scan and everything was absolutely fine, healthy little heartbeat and no sign of trouble!! Your body is just getting ready for the big changes ahead.

Oh, and congratulations Grin
