Hi all,

Im 32+1 and am feeling my baby practicing breathing and watching my tummy moving up and down gently! Totally different from when they get hick-ups! Just wondered if anybody else has felt this? Can't take my eyes of my tum!!

They can't breathe inside your tummy, it's more likely your baby's swimming. Smile

Pretty sure I read that they do "practice" breathing by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid.

How amazing!

Yes they practice breathing I can see it too

when I'm in the bath I'm 33+0 Smile

Yeah spoke to my midwife and she says that they do it from 30 weeks onwards! Can last for up to an hour or for very small periods of time! Its crazy but so so amazing. Glad some of you mummies to be have shared this feeling Smile

Wow! I'm jealous. What's it like? Smile

I had this too the other day :) Was in the bath and the most prominent part of my bump looked liked it was rhythmically moving up and down. I thought it was me at first but wasn't my breathing. Just ever so slight like it was breathing - amazing!! :)

Aw it is amazing isn't it? I know we tend to think "ach millions of women give birth every day etc etc" but when you actually stop and think about it, it really is a true miracle of nature isn't it? Smile

They definitely do practice! I had a 4d scan yesterday and we were watching mine doing it at 28 weeks! How lovely though, it's amazing when you feel/see new things happen! I can't say I'm generally enjoying pregnancy much... But everyday the baby does something to take my breath away... Literally and metaphorically! Grin

What's its like for me badgerina is I can't feel it but can see a little area of my bump either to left or right of my bump moving up and down by itself when I'm perfectly still, not had this other prev 2 pg's
