Ok, so I am 4+3 With my fourth pregnancy. I have had one mmc, one successful pregnancy and one ectopic. Today I have had quite strong cramping and when I wipe I'm getting very light brown discharge. I feel like this may be the beginning of another mc and I'm feeling really down about it. Has anyone else had these symptoms and been ok? I thought maybe the cramps might be stretching pains, but I really wasn't expecting to get the inititial pains I had with my son because I assumed my uterus would have already stretched. Help?!! I think I'm going crazy!

I've had 3 pregnancies (one miscarriage, one successful pg, and now 22 weeks pg). This time I had loads of bleeding and lots of cramping at the beginning. Had a scan at 8 weeks due to that but all was fine, and everything has looked ok on the 12 and 20 week scans. I've also heard lots of negative stories though so you really need to get checked to be sure.
I wish you the best.

I had some brown discharge on and off for first 2 weeks, and like you I have had miscarriages so I panicked, but waited and crossed fingers etc. Nothing to worry about in the end, just my uterus getting rid of unnecessary blood - had an early scan yesterday (7+2) and all is fine, baby's heartbeat nice and strong.

Try and rest, keep your feet up and look after yourself - if it gets heavier or more red, call a midwife and get them to book you an early scan (you may want to wait a while though as I'm not sure a heartbeat is visible til about week 5/6). It can't hurt to be cautious... just make sure you look after yourself, okay?

Big hugs and positive vibes xx

As you have had a previous ectopic you should get an early scan. They were able to check that my preg was in the right place at 4+ 4 and then I had another scan to check hb etc at 7 weeks.

This might well be nothing, cramps and spotting v common in early pregnancy, but you should be scanned too.

Thank you everybody. The discharge has gone back to normal whitish clear but am still getting cramps. I am going to ring my GP in Monday and see if I can get referred for an early scan ASAP. Even when I had my ectopic my EPU wouldn't scan me till I was 7+3 even though I started bleeding at 5+5. But hopefully if I go through the GP I might have more luck. Thanks again people.
