Hi, I am 27 weeks preg and have noticed that I have developed something of a lisp over the last few weeks. I am definitely a bit more puffed out in my face but have not got increased blood pressure. Has this happened to anyone else or is it completely unusual?
thanks

Are you drinking enough? Sometimes your tongue swells if you're dehydrated...

It could be the start of something called bells palsy, but you would probably notice more facial drooping than puffiness. If your face is puffy, it could be the swelling putting pressure on your facial nerve.
Try eating water melon as that is a natural diuretic, helps you get rid of excess fluid!

Hi, no facial drooping. My speech isn't slurred just a bit of a lisp that I cn notice and no one else! People notice my face is different bt say it is cos am hvng a girl! My nose seems a bit spread out! Could be a bit dehydrated so am trying to drink more. Seeing dentist on Monday x

Very late update but in case anyone else has a lisp during pregnancy, mine ceased pretty soon after delivery.
