Hi all,

This is my second baby but first was breech all along and i had a cs so all this 'head down' and pelvic pressure is new to me. I'm 35 weeks and more and more often when i'm walking i feel like i'm being poked with a sharp stick in my bits and that i need to stop myself from weeing! Is this normal? Kind of hoping it is and that this doesn't mean that #2 is going to make an appearance imminently as DH working at the Olympics pretty much 247 for the next 2 weeks so hoping to hold off til then! Someone please tell me it could still take a while yet!

Thanks

Sounds normal to me. Put your feet up!

Essex, this sounds like me (only 31 weeks tho) and my first but the pressure is weird and I'm constantly feeling like I need to pee. My DH is also doing olympic stuff too until 3 days before due date and is not guaranteed to get off work if I go into labour so really hoping she doesn't arrive early!

Essex are you me? I am only 32 weeks but 1st dd was breech, and am getting stabby pains in my fanjo coupled with a constant need to wee. In fact I was going to post this very question today!

It seems to be worse when I walk around, bouncing on the birth ball helps.

Sparkle, perhaps we should start a new thread for 'Olympic widows ready to drop!' Don't get me wrong, the extra cash will be very handy but the timing REALLY sucks!!! Keep telling myself it will be fine and the baby will arrive in the window between Olympics and Paras - just praying it does!

Black tea - good to know that i'm not the only one - everyone thinks as its your second you know all about labour but although my waters broke on their own last time, i never even had a contraction so i have no idea what awaits me and yeah, this pressure thing is very weird a little er... anti social!

I have found the birthing ball really good every night, helps with breathing a bit easier too. Will try my best to sit on my bum for the next 4 weeks i think!!
