Hi,

Just after some advice please...I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with 1st baby..couple of things, i still haven't told my employer i'm pregnant. I work in a very small office (only 4) and my boss can be quite unpredictable, to put it nicely!!! I built up the courage to tell her today and she's not in until Monday...typical! I'm really stressing about it which is no good for me and baby i know but i just can't seem to actually say the words..as stupid as that sounds!
Second issue - We are going on a 'team building' exercise with a few clients next week..to Wales... WATER SKIING!!!
Obviously there is no way i am going to take part but sitting on a boat is OK surly or am i being naive?

Seriously stressing about it...any advice would be much appreciated! x

Aw, don't stress, if she is human she will be delighted, and if she is the boss from hell she will be 'delighted', because if she isn't she will lay herself open to all sorts of tribunal stuff that she will know she is better off without. Just tell her, and don't fgs sake apologise about it (cos I can tell from your OP that you would Grin)

As for the course, tell the people running it you are pregnant, as they will have rules about what you can and can't do under their insurance. I'd be fine with sitting in the boat myself.

Sitting in the boat will be fine. Make some excuse about an injury or something.

You need to tell your employer by 25 weeks legally anyway, so no need to lie about why you can't jet ski!
