Private Scan Recs?

Does anyone know of a place that can do private scans and tests in or near Dartford County? I moved to the UK a few weeks ago and finally got into the GP at my local yesterday, only to be told that all of the antenatal services were handled elsewhere. Elsewhere can't get me on the books for 2 more weeks, and then I won't be able to get an appointment until at least 1 week after that. According to them, as I will be around 15 weeks at that time I won't be able to get all of the initial tests, etc. Where does one go for private scans and tests?

We had a private gender scan with Babybond. Ours was in Barnsley, but I believe they operate around the country. I don't knwo if they do dating/anomaly scans or look for anything more "medical" - you may be better off contacting a private hospital - Nuffield run a lot of private hospitals in the UK. When we had our private scan though, there was still a 2 week wait for an appointment.

Thanks! I'll look into the Nuffield rec, it's a huge help Smile

I also had a few private scans with Babybond but in Glasgow. I know they have a lot of branches though and they offer all types of scans. I went for the gender scan at 21 weeks, then 10 weeks later i booked a 4d scan, ended up having another 3 though as baby was being cheeky and hiding a lot throughout! Eventually got really good pictures and DVD though. Would definitely recommend if there is a branch in your area. Google them? Smile

Babybond do the NT test privately. They are fantastic.

If you are in Kent I really would go through the hassle of getting the train into London to go somewhere like the FMC, women's wellness ctr unless you are guaranteed a proper doctor with the local operators.

Second for the FMC in London.

I had one done 7 weeks ago at apeekabooimaging in Thamesmead/Erith. Only a 10 minute drive from dartford.

They were very good and examined and explained things in much more detail than the NHS.

We had the sonogram rather than a 3D/4D scan as we wanted to check his progress and health rather than see what he looked like.

I went to Babybond in Manchester for an early viability scan - they were excellent and not too expensive (£99 for ours though later more detailed scans will be more - not a lot to scan at 8.5 weeks!)

Thanks all! We ended up going to Kent Medical Imaging. They were brilliant! The nurse was lovely and took her time until the baby decided to give her the angles she needed Smile.
