How does your baby wiggle?

Just that really... how does your baby wiggle?
I'm 27+2 today and in the time that she's been making noticeable movements I've been getting all sorts of funny little feelings. The most common one is the jab which is short and sharp and pretty much shocks me into remembering she's there (as if I could forget) and recently, the stomp, where it feels as though she's having a bit of a temper tantrum against my tummy. She also sticks her bum out as if she's doing the best stretch she can, good for her, painful for me! These little movements just make me laugh and I wondered what everyone elses felt like :)

The somersaults feel the strangest. I'm 21 weeks so I guess there's lots of room in there at the mo. It feels like bumpster does roly ploys over and over!
It's such an odd sensation it stops me in my tracks! That and when head / bum stick out of my tum!

Thats kind of the wriggles I had around that time. I'm 31 weeks now and space is getting a bit tighter for her now so movement has changed a bit. I still get pretty big kicks sometimes but its more squirming. She'll stretch her legs out under my ribs and I can feel little feet or hands moving. I quite often get a bum sticking out and moving across the middle of my tummy, right over my belly button which is not comfortable :) She does properly turn sometimes from breech to head down and vis versa which has started making me feel a little sick!

But how do you know it's her bum?? It's all such a strange sensation anyway...how do you know what's a bum and what's a back?

I had my 28w appointment with the midwife yesterday - she told me where baby's head was, and back and legs/feet - but there's no way I could have distinguished myself.

My baby has several periods throughout the day jabbing/kicking - they completely make me jerk and twitch myself, then as I use the count the kicks app more, a few periods of hiccups a day from the rhythmic consistency of them, and then a little bit of shuffling around Grin

Could be a back I guess but if you press a bit its kinda round. Last time it happened MW said she was head down so couldn't be a head. I have a good old feel when the MW is done to try and work out which bit is which, def can't do it but I think I can feel the difference between big bits (bum, head etc) and little bits (hands and feet etc)

I had a foot in the ribs earlier, not comfortable, then she got hiccups, very uncomfortable!

Mines lying transverse at the bottom of my belly - I have wide hips so lots of room in there! She does this thing where she kicks & punches at the same time so my belly moves from side to side (DH says its like Alien!) & I've also had a few kicks in the bladder. Am 29 btw

I've had a few kicks today which feel like they are in my...err bum hole (I suppose sphincter would have been a nicer way to put that?) Very strange sensation!

I also get the kicking /punching at the same time thing meaning my whole belly twitches. I love it Smile
