Heat like rash on bump

Hi all

Has anyone else had this? Bump has been itchy for a couple of days, on Sunday I noticed a faint heat like rash on the top of bump; yesterday this was more prominent and skin itched like sin. I did have an over the bump maternity skirt on so this might not have helped.

When I got home I covered myself in e45 and this morning doused myself in talc. Itchiness has receded and rash does seem a little better but is still there.

Baby is moving around, I feel fine in myself. Has anyone experienced this? I am home on Friday so will prob get it checked over by dr if not completely gone then.

Haven't had it myself, but have heard a few others who have. For them it turned out to be a reaction to fabric softener as skin was more sensitive than before.

How far pregnant are you?

Sorry should have said - 30 weeks on Thursday. I did have a look at Cholestasis yesterday but its just my bump really so don't think its a match (thankfully!)

Small update, I popped into the boots near work and spoke to the Pharmacist.

She has the same problem at 6 months and said its just skin stretching. Recommended baby oil and cocobutter.

So am slightly reassured for now!

I had that ginger and was peed as convinced myself I had PUPPS. Slapping on any moisturiser i could get my hands on, not itching and keeping the area uncovered at night did the trick for me :)
