Spray bottle by the bed, bath ready with cold water in, husband now in spare room.

I'm 23 weeks, suffered with hot restless feet/legs in first pregnancy but had forgotten how bloody awful it is.

Haven't got any cooling foot cream but do have a bottle of cooling aftersun... worth a shot???

Wash your feet before bed in cool water to help regulate their temperature. My DH does mine with the shower head while I stand in the bath!

Oh god I know that feeling its horrible - I second the cold water bath before getting in bed Smile

Try a cold water bottle too. It was recommended by someone on here during the last hot spell (way back when?) and really worked for me.

Thanks everyone. Finally got to sleep around 2. Thank God I'd recorded some rubbish off the tv and went down to watch that. Will be trying all tips tonight.

Someone else suggested filling a hot water bottle with water and freezing it and then putting your feet on it. Worked for me!

I've got one of those gel packs you put in the freezer for sprains etc. bliss!

I'm wondering if icepacks would be good, like the ice packs that people take on camping holidays?

newbielisa · 25/07/2012 20:37

Well last night I lobbed a ton of the cooling after sun on and did have a decent sleep but think part of that was exhaustion. Bought some foot cooling spray today although it's a lot cooler tonight. Last night was going to try the ice cubes in hot water bottle, couldn't find the hot water bottle anywhere and no idea where would sell them in July.

I really suffered with this too. I ended up with a damp hand towel draped over my legs in bed - made the sheet a bit damp, but really helped to cool my feet down!

Also I was bought a cooling peppermint foot scrub from the body shop by a lovely friend and used it before going to bed.

Hope you have nice chilly feet!!
