Just that really. I've been having some funny feelings 'down there' and wondered if that's what it is.

  1. Bacteria. Not a chill or sitting on cold tiles Hmm, sorry Dad.
  1. Passing water more often than usual, always feeling like you need to go even when you have just been, peeing hurts, usually most towards the end.
Sometimes cloudy or bloody urine.

Simple dip test at GP's can screen if you are not sure. Are you currently pregnant? Just asking, as symptoms can be pretty absent when you are expecting.

Yeah I am 24 weeks. I haven't really had any of those symptoms, just a fleeting sort of achy feeling around my pubic bone, a little bit like the feeling when you're desperate got a wee. But then it goes away again and comes back a few hours later...

Baby kicking bladder??

'Honeymoon cystitis'??

Hand a midstream sample of urine in to your GP's - the practice nurse should be able to test it on the same day and give you some idea how likely an infection needing antibiotics actually is.

It burns like an absolute bitch when you pee. And you get up and 10mins later, you feel like you are going to pop but you have the merest of tinkles. Which burns on the way out as well.

UTI isn't something that you can just ignore or that just like a bit of pressure.

My catheter left some trauma that's taking ages to get over and the burn took my breath away for about 10 secs. I had to sit on the loo / commode and wait for the muscles to stop trying to chew through each other and for my bladder to stop ripping itself open with the Swiss Army knife.

Two courses of antibiotics and 3 weeks later...

I don't get burning wee but I feel tired, weepy, unable to do the everyday stuff like make dinner, tummy feels unhappy and back pains around the kidneys.

I drink lemon barley water every day as it helps to flush the system out.

Not an STI Smile.

Get yourself checked out.

KickTheGuru · 23/07/2012 23:37

Naw that's doesn't sound like a UTI.

The burning is a big thing for me - it burns before, during and after and the incontinence depends on how bad it is.

I would pop to the doctors...

a uti is not an sti but can be caused by sex - basically it's bacteria in the bladder/urethra that causes burning, desperate need to urinate but often unable to and then no relief from the feeling once you do.

the strength of the symptoms can vary but i think if you had a uti you'd really know about it. i get them quite severly sometimes and can't stray more that a few feet from the loo. i'd get checked out if your feeling rough but it doesn't sound like a uti to me.
