Cinema? Ok it's not in the sunshine but at least you can sit down

water pistols in the garden? You cheer them on and adjudicate with a glass of something chilled in your hand - they hurtle round like nutters getting soaked and having a ball. :)

you have my sympathy and understanding.

Making daisy chains together?

woopsidaisy · 23/07/2012 12:20

You have my sympathy. I'm 38 weeks, but in Belfast, where it is raining! Yay!Grin

What about a paddling pool or hose/sprinkler? You can sit in the pool too? x

Water pistols, but surely they would be tempted to "shoot" mum!

Cheekychops84 · 23/07/2012 13:03

Got the paddling pool out . No way I'm getting in it we are v v closely housed ! I may go see if shop has some water bombs tho !

Shimmy at 39 weeks, possibly resembling a small sweaty planet (I'm allowed to say this as I am in same boat!) in the hot weather, Mum would probably be grateful to be shot! Grin

I've jus sat and put my feet in the pool and am looking at my reflection in the patio door it's really not nice at all my arse is falling thru the sides of the chair! Think I will
Go back in :(

Im wondering what to do too. I'm 36 weeks I'd rather the weather was still rainy as I feel guilty not doing 'out doorsy' things. We've had the sand pit out today and I've watched dd run around in the garden- but we've also sat in doors n watched Winnie the pooh. I've no idea how I'm gonna fill the next 4 weeks!! I really don't wanna go far from the house now.

Cheekychops84 · 23/07/2012 19:37

Arty Jenny me too! I've had 2 invites out today ! And I'm too scared to bloody go ! Such a shame ! To b honest I'm too unconfortable aswell tho I will end up getting all hot and bothered I think

Paddling pool in the garden with a lounger for you in the shade and a good book. Picnic is nice too, and you can have that in the garden too! Den making etc. basically anything that requires minimal input and is out of the ordinary. I feel your pain, I was due beginning of July 6 years ago and in the 5 weeks before she was born the daytime temp averaged. 30 degrees. I had an 18 month old to entertain! Not my idea of fun.

Cheekychops84 · 23/07/2012 21:39

Yes I shud have learned my lesson this is third jul/ Aug baby :(( I'm juscsitying round like a hippo eating crap !!! I'm going to attempt park 2moro if I can find something to wear ! Oh I'm a bag of fun aren't I! Sorry ladies :( I like the Den idea tho : D I used to b goodcat that !
