im in hospital...not enjoying this pregnancy

Am 13 weeks and seem to be getting the crappy illnesses. i had shingles 3 weeks ago.

Ended up being rushed in to a+e yesterday afternoon, I've been constipated for a week and unable to wee since Wednesday also couldn't keep anything down even the antibiotics the Dr gave me...

So i have been on iv fluids since yesterday when admitted for severe dehydration, then iv antibiotics for bladder and kidney infections...

Still not wee today so they've put a catheter in.

Feeling very sorry for myself

Poor you that sounds awful! I'm a veteran of vile pregnancies to so you have my sympathy :)

Hope they get it sorted soon and you'll soon be able to wee again :) x

Oh hun, that sounds horrendous. I've had a 'good' pregnancy so far and have felt really rough most days so I can't imagine how feed up you must be feeling. Hopefully trimester 2 and 3 will be better going for you x

That sucks, sorry to hear u are having a hard time of it. Some people seem to love beIng preggars but some seem to have a tough time- I'm the latter and counting down the days!!

:(. Can't compare notes with how bad you're feeling but my sickness started to go at 14 wks so I hope the same for you and that you start feeling better/enjoying your pg more :).

The Dr said it will be tomorrow as a minimum really, i have to be able to pee alone.

not liking this catheter atall.

Well i am home, had the catheter removed this morning and managed to pee all by myself 3 times so they let me go.

Under strict instructions of rest, although willhave to go back to work on wednesday as we cannot afford to lose any money at the minute.

Glad to hear your home, don't rush back to work tho if ur not ready! I've been ok compared to u lol Had really bad morning sickness, and had to have some medication to try and stop me vomiting because I felt like I was dehydrating. Still getting nausea now but thankfully the vomiting has stopped!

I'm a bit constipated as well (tmi) so DP bought me some prune juice yest which frankly is like sweet mud!

Hiya.

Ended up going back to the hospital this evening, my body has been refusing to wee or poo all day so bloody frustrating.

They've changed my anti biotics and I've a huge bo of movical to make my way through the next few days..

Will be taking the rest of the week off thanks to my aunt in law helping us out, lovely lady that she is.
