Smoked Salmon in pregnancy

Is it safe to eat smoked salmon in Pregnancy? The NHS website says it's safe however it is banned in some other countries, the website also says if you are concerned about Listeria then you should avoid, so not very clear advice at all!!!

Doesn't the smoking process kill the bacteria? I've eaten loads of it!

Safe to eat here, and good for you. I've eaten loads. I wouldn't worry about other countries - you'd eat nothing. Thy all seem to have slight differences. IMO.
