...Am pg with 3rd DC, felt movements at 18wks with DS1 and around 15wks with DS2...so I guess it's not impossible that I am feeling slight ripples of baby movement already with this one? I've noticed the sensations in the evenings over the last couple of days, basically when I'm lying down, and I'm convinced it must be the baby. I'll be 12wks tomorrow.

Anyone else felt movements this early? Or is it more likely to be indigestion Confused?

I think I have too. I was lying on my front the last couple of nights and was sure I could feel something in there flipping over. I know it's not indigestion as it wasn't in the right place!

With my second child I felt movements at 13 weeks. I'm sure they were. The softest flutterings, but unmistakenly baby movements

I'm nearly 38 weeks with DC3,and I definitely felt movement from 11 weeks. It is normal with subsequent pregnancies apparently.
My Aunt is a midwife of 30 years experience, and IHO feeling movements often meant you would deliver before your due date. Which is good news for me as I was induced at 40 +10 with my other two!

Could be movements. The more pregnancies you have, the slacker the uterine muscles and the more you can feel them. I had definite movements by then but the Dr didn't believe me. What does he know?

DD1 I felt at 12 weeks, DD2 10 weeks.

I'm convinced I could feel dc1 moving at 11 weeks, it was just a slight tapping sensation.

CherryBlossom27 · 22/07/2012 09:17

Yes its probably the baby. My mum felt me at 12 weeks (3rd baby) but dr didn't believe her!

crazypaving · 22/07/2012 11:09

I felt DC1 at 14wks and this one at 11wks. Everyone looked at me like this Hmm so I don't tell anyone any more! But I know it was baby movements - it doesn't feel like anything else.

DC4 on board here and defo felt lovely little flutterings at 12 weeks :)

honeytea · 22/07/2012 21:21

I felt movements (first pregnancy) at 13 weeks, I was sceptical at first but now I'm 20 weeks I'm sure it was early movement at 13 weeks.

My placenta is right at the back and my womb is fairly far forward so I think that is why I felt it early.

Kirsty240287 · 23/07/2012 13:22

I felt fluttering's at 11/13wks, (2nd pg) but when I had my scan and mentioned it to the sonographer (cant spell) she said it wasn't movement as the baby is still down in my pelvis and you only start feeling movements when they move up. Pretty sure it was in the same place as I first felt my DD and it's the feeling I've only ever had during pregnancy but they are the experts not me!

cairnterrier · 23/07/2012 13:26

First pregnancy I felt movements at 13 weeks, second at 11 weeks. I think that it's entirely probable that one can feel early movements and I think that the position of the placenta and womb do make a difference.

Best wishes for all the rest of your pregnancy!
