Hiya just looking for advice I had pelvic pain from around 30 weeks in previous pregnancy and I have forgotten the symptoms of SPD.
I'm 20+3 and since yesterday morning I have had hip pain and sometimes when I stand up I get a sharp pain around the front under the bump which stops me in my tracks. When I sit with my legs crossed I have a constant ache at the top of my leg. Is it possible that this could be spd??

Im not sure. Mine was in my pelvis although i used to get shootings pains down the front of my legs as well.

I don't know if you are aware of keeping your legs together? I was advised to do this when getting out the car, bed, bath etc and i did it every single time once the pain started with my second pregnancy (i had it with my first one as well so knew what to expect) and after a few weeks the symptoms dramatically reduced! My physio was amazed! So well worth doing.

Also get yourself refered to physio as soon as possible.

They don't sound like the symptoms that I started with, but it seems from experience that SPD differs for many women, so may be worth speaking to your dr or physio to ask for a diagnosis.
My symptoms started with a grinding ache in my pelvis, aching lower back when walking and shooting pains every time I opened my legs. Now I can't walk up steps, turn in bed, get out of the car, push a trolley without my hips feeling like they are being physically torn apart! It's my third time now with the same symptoms.
Hope you find a solution for your pains.

Yeah i think you're right that the pain is different for everyone. I never had pains when opening my legs at all, but had pain when walking etc. But when i stopped opening my legs (tricky) the pain when walking went away.

When Im sitting on the sofa the only way I can get comfy is to have my legs apart. But now I have really awful hip pain in my right hip. Its only in bed. The other day I couldnt move at all from pain around my bump when I lifted my legs. So it sounds like what you have OP.

It doesnt sound like spd as I thought it was more in the pelvis. But then it could be different for everyone.

All I know is that it bloody hurts :(
