sore boobs

my dd had a baby 3 days ago she told me to day her boobs are hot feel lumpy and sore shes not bf ,what can she do any advice please

It's perfectly normal, it's her milk coming in. She can either take painkillers and live with it, or she can express a little a couple of hours a day to relieve pressure and for comfort. If she expresses, she will be more comfy but it will take a little longer for her boobs to go back to normal. If she just lives with it, they should be fine in about a week. If she notices any red patches or really big lumps, she needs to speak to her midwife or gp as it could be mastitis.

This may sound weird. Don't laugh but has she tried putting cabbage leaves inside her bra cups? My midwife told me about this and it did take the edge off the discomfort when my milk was coming in.
