Pregnancy nausea getting worse at 12 weeks

I am reaching the end of my tether with pregnancy nausea. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant and this has been the worse week so far.
I've tried everything recommended; fresh ginger, accupuncture, regular small plain meals etc etc but it has got to the point where eating anything makes me feel worse so of course it is very difficult to eat..
Any advice? Anyone also felt worse than previously at this point?

Yep me. I'm 12 weeks and the past 2 weeks I have felt worse than ever. I actually stopped eating altogether from sat to Monday as I was so ill and the thought of food was horrifying, I've lost over a stone because of it and I don't feel as if it's about to get better any time soon. Also ended up with a water infection and antibiotics this week which has completely tipped me over the edge!!! Can't wait to feel human again hopefully soon. Hope you're feeling better soon too x

Thanks Pip, glad to hear I'm not alone and that this is 'normal'. Not that we feel anything close to normal at the mo. Good luck with the feeling human, that is what I'm aiming for too!

We're not asking for much are we????

I don't think we are asking for much! I have now actually started being sick as well which is brilliant, NOT!

I'm 13 weeks, and it's still getting steadily worse for me too, especially the food aversions Sad. I now really struggle to go into the kitchen, and if I get anything out of the fridge, I have to hold my breath and close my eyes (open one just a crack to reach what I'm getting). Still end up heaving over the sink though.

I find the only things that help are jacobs cream crackers (which I nibble through the day) and pink grapefruit (which actually makes me feel ok for a bit - ahhh, the blessed relief!).

I had this with my first - I was off work for weeks with sickness and then at 12 weeks it went away a bit. So I went "back to normal" and lo and behold within a week I was throwing up all over the place. Lasted for an eternity about another fortnight and then it was A-ok.

I am so with you on the fridge thing though - even thinking about now is giving me the heave and I'm only 6.5 weeks!

Hope you feel better soon x

Also - Pip - I was like that for weeks the last time - I could only stomach ginger ale, fizzy water, ice cubes and fruit.

And it was at Christmas when those usually lovely M&S food adverts were on all the time on telly - permanently had a sick bowl positioned in my lap!

I'm there with you. I've been sick since 6 weeks exactly and I'm very nearly 15 weeks. I had a week break at 11 weeks, and it got way worse at 12 weeks!! (Being sick twice a day instead of once...)

Hang in there - there's not much else to say. Have you got sea bands? They help a bit (not a miracle though).

I think - fingers crossed - mine might be finally lifting a bit as I haven't - knock on wood - been sick in a few days and I managed some chocolate yesterday. You're not alone though.

The same happened to me, I felt ill from about 6-7 weeks but only started actually being sick at 11 weeks, I'm 20 weeks now and still being sick a few times a week :(
