I've been given this as a scan date but am concerned it is a little late. I know it's not much out but do you think I should try to bring it forward a bit? I've heard the closer you have it to 12 weeks the more accurate the dating.

I had mine at 13+4 due to the 2 bank holidays over Easter, it wasn't a problem. I didn't want to have the nuchal testing done though, as I undersand it this has to be done between 11 and 13 weeks- but you would be inside this anyway.

My dating scan was at 12+2 with DD, and 13+1 (the date they gave me, not to do with my convenience etc) with DC#2. In both, the scan said baby was a couple of days 'bigger' but my EDD wasn't changed. Any time between 11-13.6wks you can have the NT test, and 12+6 isn't really that much later than 12wks.

Are you expecting to be very wrong with your dates? The scan can still be as much as a week out anyway, even if you did it at 12wks, due to natural variation in humans.

My first scan was 12+2 according to dates, when they scanned me they said I was actually 13+2. They got all the NT measurements etc so I think its fine :)

they book them between 11 and 13 weeks, that window is fine, HOWEVER if you think you ovulated a bit earlier then day 14 and might be more pregnant then your dates imply (so OVER 13 weeks for the scan) then it might be worth fighting it, otherwise IMO the timing is fine
