I've had horrible period cranky pains / kinda like bad wind pain on and off now for past 2days but it's really unconfortable ! God knows what the real thing will b like if I'm sat here crying about it! But I'm so bloody miserable I jus want to either go to sleep, or go into labour! I dont care which ! I feel sick too and I've tried a warm bath and paracetemol and pacing around and it won't shift ? I know it will eventually but it's not nice! It's keeping OH up as he is worried ! Is this normal to have this? I didn't have it with other pregnancies ?

I think your baby and your bits are getting themselves ready and although it is a pain, it will make actual labour easier if all this shifting about happens before the main event, so sending you and hug and hope you get some sleep. :)

GlitterySkulls · 20/07/2012 01:28

i've had the period-like cramps for a fortnight now (plus other horrible symptoms) & they're just getting worse as the days go by Sad

i did get them with DS, but they only started 48 hours prior to labour starting.

i'm also totally fed up with it all, just want baby out now.

no advice, but plenty of sympathy xx

PS. Don't do a live labour thread.

But being weepy and having windy period type pains and feeling fed up are often the start....

Cheekychops84 · 20/07/2012 01:44

Yes I no/hope labour isn't far but this is jus torture isn't it? Surely mother nature is ritually me enuff to not be able to get my knickers on easily anymore :( but now to give me this horrible pain which comes and goes and comes and goes :( although I see ur point it may make labour easier :) I haven't had show or anything yet? But I never did with other 2 until I guess I was in labour? Same with waters they had to b broken for me!

Your body has grown a lovely baby and now it is doing its thing getting for the big event. Don't worry about waters and shows. Or even being in labour. You probably are in latent labour but fretting and worrying will just slow you down...can you have a bath or a nice cup of peppermint tea or chamomile or hot milk and try and have a sleep? so at least you have some energy in the tank?

Says she, who didn't sleep for days before going into labour and then didn't sleep again til DS was 17.5 months old....

:D

GTbaby · 20/07/2012 05:28
