Growth scan big belly baby help

Had a midwife app tues and midwife expressed concern as my tummy measured 36cm, she sent me for a growth scan today! All measurements appeared fine apart from baby's tummy was off the scale, he is weighing at 4lb 5! Got a gd test Tuesday, worried sick incase something us wrong with baby???????

I was in exactly the same situation for ds1 and current pg- scan showed all fine and growth slowed down again - try not to worry - its a very flexible thing - was it the same m/w measuring ? Good luck

Yea same midwife, mainly sonographer got me freaked out with the large belly on baby

It could be GD, if so you'll be helped to get it under control. The main risks are during and after delivery so as long as GD is diagnosed before then the risks can be managed. I had GD last time and got dd back in proportion with diet control (quite an extreme diet by the end) and she was 6lb 2oz and absolutely fine.

By the way, my 36 week scan they estimated her to be 9lb or more.

i was also told this with my first they were estimating at due date baby was going to weigh around 10lbs, they were soo wrong he was 8lb1 and i had a huge amount of water. scared me for nothing.
