Would you go to Dr with this?

I am 18 weeks pg and my DS has had a fevery cold for just short of a week - he caught it from my DH. He's woken with a fever in the morning, it goes down with calpol, comes back in the afternoon, needs more calpol. Apart from that, he's fine, if a bit melancholy, but is eating, sleeping fine etc.

Anyway, I had put this down to "winter virusy thing" and hadn't considered Dr, but today he has developed a rash on his cheeks. I assumed it was because it's been chilly and it's a combination of runny nose and cold wind, but I've suddenly had a fear that it's Fifth Disease.....

Has anyone had FD and can tell me what the rash is like?

I also have a cold but haven't caught this from DH or DS yes as I haven't had a fever.

If you're worried, get it checked out. Hope it's just the weather.

Well I've been putting cream on it all day so maybe I'll see how he is in the morning. I'm always loathe to Dr bother with colds and the like but with me being pregnant I guess I should be a bit more careful.

How old is your ds? A fever for a week sounds like a long time... Check the calpol bottle to see how long you're supposed to use it for before you see a doctor.
