Im 25 weeks pregnant with DC2. I literally cannot get out of bed due to a strange pain at the bottom of my bump every time I move my legs. Its excruciating. Its only come on today but I have had hip pain on and off.

I have placenta previa, and baby is lying really low (when it kicks I feel it sometimes in my fanjo) so could it just be my stomach muscles straining? Im still feeling the baby kick and have no bleeding.

Could be SPD (not serious, don't panic) speak to your HV

wannabedomesticgoddess · 19/07/2012 12:43

Thanks, I had read about spd on threads but discounted it due to the pain being on my bump and not further down. I had a gp appointment today but had to rearrange due to being stuck to the bed so I will say to her.

I have this too wannabe. Not bad today but yesterday and two days before, it was excruciating. I am 26+3. I'm going to say to the midwife at my 28 week check if I can hold off til then

wannabedomesticgoddess · 19/07/2012 13:12

Its really awful isnt it! We were meant to be going out for the day but now we cant and I feel really guilty!

Is there anything you have found helps?

Sounds like SPD bloody agony but not serious

osterleymama · 19/07/2012 13:16

Don't hold off! SPD just gets worse and you'll probably be waiting anyway for a physio referral. there's lots they can do to ease the pain so see your GP as soon as you can. X

Notmyselfatall · 19/07/2012 13:28

Really osterley? I've been in agony with it. When I get up from sitting and especially lying down. Sad

wannabedomesticgoddess · 19/07/2012 13:34

Im panicking a bit now. I was hoping I had just strained a muscle.

I hate doctors so physio has me reeling with fear. And how I will cope when DP goes back to work next week I dont know.

:(

Physios won't do anything when you're pregnant as there's not a lot can be done so don't worry too much, they'll help you with ways of doing things and some will fit you for a belt and supply other support items.

I have this and it started the same way, pain on lower bump. I've been seeing physic and its really helped (plus exercises to do at home) and I feel much better. Please call mw, they'll be able to refer you

Could it be round ligament pain? I get it walking fast generally but also get it sometimes when lying down and literally am stuck to the bed until it eases off.
