Ok so I'm really really suffering with sickness. I'm 12 weeks now and It's worse now than its ever been. I can not eat anything as it makes me feel a million times worse. I've literally managed a few prices of fruit and a rich tea biscuit since Saturday. I have no energy, a water infection and I just feel horrific. Am I starving my baby or will baba still be ok? I was quite a podgy 13st 13 and am now 12st 12 so it's no like I can't afford to lose the weight I'm just more worried about the baby tbh. I'm drinking Plenty of fluids tho. Any advice would be fab xxx

The baby takes what it needs first. It will be you that will suffer for the loss of essential minerals, but you can replacer those once you feel better Smile

Have you discussed this with your mw? Baby's are pretty tough and draw what they need from what you have stored. However, it sounds like your suffering pretty badly. Your gp/mw can offer medication to reduce sickness.

Eat what you can, drink plenty, take a vitamin if you can manage it. Baby will be fine & it won't last forever.

Best wishes.:)

Sorry for all the typos stupid iPhone!!! I haven't spoken to my mw no, do u think I should? I've felt crap for a few weeks now but this week is definitely the worst. I've got a horrible feeling I'm anaemic too as I was on my last pregnancy. I can't manage any vitamins they make me sick :( I'm in such a sorry state and feeling so sorry for myself. Do u think my mw could help me? Or do I just need to ride it out? Thanks for the lovely posts, so nice to have some support xxx

Pip, I have known a few people who've had extreme sickness in pregnancy and have been given anti sickness medication which has helped a lot. I would say if you are feeling as bad as you seem to be, it may be worth ringing your mw. She can arrange to check you for anaemia aswell. In your op you said you've only managed a couple of pieces of fruit and a biscuit. Having no energy and an empty stomach tends to make my sickness worse. I'm sure your baby is fine but you need to take care of yourself too. :)

I am 5ft 2 and weighed 9stone 4lb pre pregnancy. By week 14 I weighed 8stone 1 and had been to hospital 6 times for a drip due to dehydration. I'm now 31 weeks and weigh 9stone and my baby is fine, in fact he is above average for all his measurements and off the scale (at 20 week check) for abdomen.

You're baby will be fine if my story is anything to go by. But if you're being sick you should really see DR/Midwife for some anti sickness drugs.

Hope you feel better soon. My top tip would be not to eat apple! There is also a Hypermesis support thread on here with lots of advice.

Good Luck.

OP if you go to the doctor, they can test you for dehydration (urine sample, I always LOLd at that hello I'm fucking dehydrated how do you expect me to pee for you
Just keep at it, ask for stematil (cyclazine are a waste of time) and as previous poster said there's a hyperemesis support thread.
Good luck with everything
