Hi
I was fine until about 10am this morning and then my eyesight whet very blurry, my hands and mouth felt very tingly and I couldnt hold anything or se properly
I do suffer from migraines but havent had one for months and felt compleatly fine all morning until I went to type something on the laptop and couldnt!
I managed to sleep for a couple of hours and since I woke up I still have a headache and my sight even though not perfect is alot better but I keep having hot flushes
Is this a migraine or a sign of pre elampsia?

pregnancy can trigger migraines -I had never had one then was driving along at 20 weeks and went blind in one eye -very scary but it was a migraine

ring your midwife and get them to check your blood pressure but it does sound like a migraine -always best to get it checked though

Migraines v common in pregnancy. How far along are you? I think pre-eclampsia only happens after 24 weeks or something? I could be wrong though... If your hands and feet have swollen suddenly that is definitely a worry too. If not, likely to just be a migraine BUT I would call midwife anyway.

Much better to get checked out and find its nothing. Good luck!

I would pop to gp if possible or call midwife and get checked over

Hi
I'm 35 weeks, I've taken some paracetomol and someone is picking my ds up from school for me so going to rest now and see what happens dh finishes work soon so he will be here to keep an eye on me, no swelling so hopefully just a migraine that I've manged to head off by having a sleep, typical though today is the only day ds2 is at nursery so had the whole day to myself and couldnt do anything! had so much planned to! :(

Go and get Your urine and BP checked just in case. I had no signs of PE until 30 something weeks. Not saying you have it but I wouldn't leave it just in case. Headache and visual disturbance are two warning signs. Hope you feel better soon.

Go and get checked for BP definitely. It could just be a migraine, but why take the chance when it's easy enough to rule out anything more serious?
There isn't much point in "waiting to see" because if it is pre-eclampsia (and I'm not saying it is, just that it needs to be ruled out) then the sooner you get seen and sorted, the better.

Go, sort it out!

I'd agree with above posts, I've had migraines very badly throughout my pregnancy so far but none with visual disturbances. It's worth giving the MW a call, even if you cant get in to see her or a doctor just yet.
