Just seeing if anyone else has had this experience, I'm so frustrated!!
Had attempted sweep on Fri, nothing doing - cervix long, hard, closed, posterior. Was totally pissed off but tried clary sage, walking, curry etc etc over the weekend in desperate attempt to get things moving. Had a bloody show last night - hallelujah! - everything I read says it's 24-48 hours from this to labour (unlike losing your plug, which is apparently different, and can happen weeks before). Had another sweep appointment today and fully expected to be 2-3cm dilated but NOTHING!! Cervix is open 'a fingertip' so i think she might have managed a sweep but otherwise exactly the same.
I'm so pissed off. The sweep has made me really sore and I'm totally knackered and disillusioned. Why would/could I have a show when there's nothing doing? (And it def was one - tmi but massive big bit of yucky ewcm-style mucus, tinged pink. I've read this is different from the plug which doesn't really indicate anything)
