I am getting an upset tummy every night, at about 9 pm. I am on and off the loo until about 1 am with horrible diarrhoea. This has been going on for weeks. I'm not ill! I feel as fine as 35 weeks pregnant can feel, but why do I keep getting the runs?

You'll probably be sick of hearing this, but it could be your hormones! I reme, ber it happening to me, although more in the middle stages rather.

Make sure you keep yourself hydrated, and check with your midwife when you can.

Hope it stops soon!

oops, meant to type rather than the last trimester. (talking to a toddler about Rolley from BTB doesn't help when typing Grin)

I wasl ike this through the last 8 weeks of my pg.... I just went with it - it was my bodies way of preparing me i guess (just watch..... i pooped in labour!)

Thanks, it is a bit hideous. And what is with the piles! I thought they were a side effect of constipation, not diarrhoea!

but to look at another possibility, I had bad runs in my 3rd pg for about a week, mentioned it to my midwife, she told me to have my stools checked, and it turned out I had a food poisoning bug. had to go on antibiotics. so I would probably pick up a sample pot in your surgery and get it checked if I were you... doesn't sound normal to me.

Ooer. If it stops should I still get it checked? I mean if it has gone by Monday.
