Pregnancy sickness is very bizarre; is the toilet going to be my new best friend?

I'm 8 weeks 2 days and up until today had been feeling quite nauseous and tired but not vomiting. This morning though I was eating my breakfast and thought I feel really I'll and had my first experience of vomiting in pregnancy. The bizarre thing was that straight after I had been sick I was able to eat the rest of my breakfast. It was almost as if being physically I'll was a relief to the nausea.

Anyway, is this the start of my actual morning sickness? Is it likely that I will be spending my next few weeks of mornings in the toilet?

I'm off during the summer so it's nice to be at home but just wondering how ladies that have to go to work cope with early pregnancy? Really admire you! Just hoping my sickness tails off by end of August when I have to go back to work Confused

Sounds just like the morning sickness I had with DD. I would feel awful, vomit, clean my teeth and then finish my breakfast Grin

Yep sounds exactly like mine! I'm 8+3 and been throwing up most mornings for the last three weeks or so. I've turned into a horrible alarm clock for dh -- I wake up at 6.30 with my stomach churning, drink a glass of water, run to the loo, throw it up, feel better and have some breakfast. Lots of people suggest having something to eat in bed as soon as you wake up, but yesterday I managed two bites of a roll before it started coming back up Confused. Now I kind of feel like I'd rather be sick anyway because at least that way the feeling goes away. It is very violent sicking though..

Yup, best one for me was when me and DH were getting ready one morning, both brushing our teeth together, it came so suddenly I didn't even have time to take my toothbrush out of my mouth. I got it in the sink though, rinsed my toothbrush and the sink and started brushing them again. DH was like this: Shock

That was right at the end of my morning sickness when I could just carry on as usual most of the time. I was lucky I had a nice boss and flexi-time. first few months of my pregnancy I went in a 10, came home at 4 and spent most of the in between time not doing much as I felt so dreadful. I used to walk to work and my morning sickness was very much triggered by smells so there was one place by the chinese takeaway where I think I threw up twice a working day (once getting there and once getting back) from when I was 5 weeks pregnant until 16 weeks. The smell of the fabric conditioner I was using at the start of my pregnancy still make me heave. DD is 14 months now. Remembering this is a good cue for my broodiness. No idea how I'd cope with DD in tow!

I'm so jealous. I want to be sick rather than this constant travel sick feeling... Am 8+2 tomorrow though so maybe???!

And I'd like to poo too but that's a different thread ;)

Sometimes pooing makes me be sick.. Think it's the bearing down. Sorry.

abc you might just be stuck with the 'travel sickness' feeling. I spent from week 5 to week 13 with constant low grade nausea but I didn't throw up once! It cleared up almost overnight though :)

Know what you mean about the violent sickness, may stomach really hurt after my episode this morning. I actually don't remember the last time I vomited, it's horrible but at least I don't feel so bad after.

Wonder what tomorrow will be like?

Am still waiting on appointment with midwife Hmm
