this baby jus will not drop ? Either that or she is unbelievably long? She is according to midwife 3/4 engaged ? But she is right up to above my ribs my boobs are happily sitting on her Confused is this normal ? With my previous 2 I had deff dropped my now ? I have constant reflux because of it and I'm getting really really fed up needing a bit mote space :(

I didn't 'drop' with either of mine. I had a high bump until the day they were born. They both arrived at 39 weeks.

Cheeky, I'm 37 weeks and 3/5th engaged. Same as you with baby still under my ribs. DH is very tall and am thinking that I have a long baby in here, midwife agrees. Could this be the same for you?

Cheekychops84 · 17/07/2012 08:00

And fed up with ppm keep saying "oh u nor even dropped yet" :(

Well I had a growth scan at 36 weeks and she does have long legs and was estimated at 6lb 10 so think she is going to b big but I feel like her bum is right under me with her legs dangling to the left and her back to the right ?

I was told by MW at one of my antenatal check-ups that I have a 'short abdomen' and that's why I carry so high. I'd never been told that before so I was a bit Hmm, but maybe she was right! Both my DSs were long at birth and DS2 is 99.6th percentile for length.

I'm 38 weeks and bump still high. I have been on Ranitidine for the last 2 months and it had been working up to a week ago, since then I have had permanent acid reflux and/or nausea. I am so uncomfortable now, hips, pelvis, bump, back - it's like being an old lady!

Bartusmaeus · 17/07/2012 08:13

My bump never dropped. I went for a checkup at 38+4 and was told I would be going to term (41 weeks in this country) as baby was high, and cervix completely closed.

I gave birth the next day Grin

Oooooh I'm so glad it's not jus me ! I was thinking this baby will never come at this rate ! We are not really tall pol I'd say average ? 5.5 oh half 5.7 my other two aren't exceptionally tall ? But my half brother and niece are both 6ft!!
