Hi all

As title says really, they started yesterday and feel like I've pulled a muscle or something, above pubic bone, under belly button, across at bottom of bump. Only hurts when I walk about, sitting down no pain at all.

Have MW appt Weds, do you think this is normal and OK to just mention then?

TIA :)

I think it's totally normal. I've had stretchy pains / stitches whenever I walk a bit too fast for the past few weeks (am 26 weeks now) -mentioned it to the GP and he seemed totally nonworried, just said to slow down or sit down for 5 minutes if it got too painful.
It's just your muscles working to accommodate growing bump. :)

Sounds like round ligament pain: www.webmd.com/baby/pregnancy-round-ligament-pain

Thanks ladies. DH said he thinks I should contact MW now but I wasn't overly worried, just concerned as hadn't felt it before. Thanks again :)

I'm 28 weeks and I've been getting this this week too - so you're not alone! I assumed it was just stuff stretching, as I think baby grows quite rapidly now?

Another one who has this here! I'm 31w and still get this - have had it on and off since about 26w. Caught me by surprise at first. My mw said only to take note of it if you're in constant pain somewhere for a longer period of time.

I get it too, had it in last pregnancy and it had come back earlier second time. I had to wear a stomach tubigrip near the end last time, which helped quite a bit. Mention it to your midwife and they may send you to a physio who will give you the tubigrip. Quite normal I think , more uncomfortable than anything else. I also find holding my bump when I walk helps ease it.
