I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second and have been sick since week 4. It's getting worse and I'm struggling to keep up with my toddler. I'm knackered but keep waking in the night from hunger/thirst/needing a wee plus getting hot flushes.
My first pregnancy was symptom free and I barely noticed I was pregnant!
I can't whine to anyone in RL as I don't want to tell anyone till 12 weeks (an earlier mc has made me paranoid).
How anyone copes with Hyperemisis I don't know.

Oh, it's tough isn't it? Pregnancy makes me hurl and when I had an 18 monther and another on the way it was so hard. I was sick and tired and don't know how I got through the days. It will pass but the best thing is to try not to get too tired and eat little and often even if it bounces. Easier said than done but don't feel forgotten. It will pass, and then you'll have your gorgeous new little one!

Find whatever you can that will go in and stay down. I lived for weeks on tinned spag. bol. and tinned pears. And couldn't find anything but Lilt that I could bear to drink. I lost a load of weight (got down below 6 stone which wasn't great) but eventually it eased up and baby came at 41 weeks quite happily and we're all here to tell the tale.
I doubt the dr will give you anything for it but making sure I always had something in my tummy helped. Actually, just remembered the wine gums. They got me through some very sicky times!
Let your mind go wild and work out what you might possibly fancy and try it. Baby will take what it needs so don't worry if you only want random stuff for a while. You can eat more healthily when you're feeling better.
Try not to get too tired too. That doesn't help.
Holding hand here for you. It's not easy, especially with a little one. Feel better soon.

My gp was fab and gave me some tablets. He can't do anything about the exhaustion but at least I feel like I can get through the next few weeks.

That's great. Hope you're feeling a bit more human soon.
