Leg cramps

Hi all. I'm absolutely bloody crippled with leg cramps / spasms. Started on Thursday night but are happening even when awake today. I'm in agony. Seriously considering calling into work sick but feel so stupid explaining the problem.

So, my question. Can I seriously consider going to the doctors with leg cramps? Will he be able to give me anything? Is this even a pregnancy thing? (internets says it can be)

I would try magnesium. Leg cramps can be a sign of magnesium deficiency. Of course it could be something else, but I would try the magnesium first.

Yeah, suggest taking magnesium supps. You can also buy magnesium oil in a spray. Massage it in at night.

Thanks for the advice guys. Am trying to hold off on supplements until I have seen midwife tomorrow. Have upped my Milk intake and started drinking tonic water (apparently the quinine is good for it).
One of the big things I found online is that you should not sleep on your back, which I do, as it cuts off circulation. So, last night I put a T-shirt with a pocket on the front on backwards with a ball in the pocket, so sleeping on my back was not comfy. Horrific nights sleep, but no pain today. Hooray!
