Good grief can't believe I am going to admit this but this evening I spent 40 mins on the loo had had to resort to manual removal..... Blush It was huge and solid... groan. I am torn and bleeding Sad

Can you take normal constipation remedies during pregnancy - ducolax or whatever it's called??? I can't allow this to happen again. Seriously, forget the episiotomy - I'll be going into labour with one already done at this rate!!

Am 30 weeks btw...

Lactulose, dried fruit and lots of fluids?

What is the 'bobby brown and whitney' stage? I have been trying to think what that could mean, I have no idea!

Are you taking iron tablets? If you are it may be worth switching to a liquid iron supplement like Spatone which won't bung you you up.

Other that Fybogel, dried apricots by the bucket load and walk as much as you can.

Also if birthing a huge painful poo sometimes you try and suck it back up which just prolongs the agony. If you blow raspberries whilst pooing it'll stop you tensing your sphincter.

Oh you poor thing. I would also recommend lactulose.

Lactulose takes days to work and gives you wind, magnesium is miles better. Sorry to all the lactulose lovers Smile
