Hello everyone- I've not posted on mumsnet before so hello! I'm Amybelle and I'm 27 weeks pregnant. It's been a rough ride so far with hyperemesis and working as a nurse at a nursing home (a bit physically demanding atm!). Now I've got really horrible discharge- cottage cheese is the only description that comes to mind. I've never had this problem before and I thought it might be thrush but is it safe to use canestan or something during pregnancy. Help! It's so uncomfortable :S

Is it itchy? You can use Canesten cream without a problem. If that doesn't clear it ask the GP if you can have a pessary as well. Otherwise its natural yoghurt and all that. If it still doesn't go ask for a swab test to see what it could be.

As above - I got thrush after taking antibiotics in pregnancy and was given a pessary had cream. Would not take anything oral though.

you shouldnt use the oral thrush treatment in pregnancy but you can use creams, pessaries, etc
