Anyone taking calcium supplements?

Hi,

I am taking Pregnacare vitamins but they don't have calcium in them and I am worried I am not getting enough. All the seperate calcium supplements you can buy seem to have vitamin D in them too and as the Pregnacare ones already have vit D in them, I don't want to take too much.

Any advice? I am 22 weeks.

Thanks

Are you lactose intolerant? Better to drink milk, eat cheese, some fortified cereal etc. The body can only process a small amount of calcium at a time, so it is pointless trying to get it all in one go from a supplement anyway. Otherwise you could stop the pregnacare and find a supplement with a bit of calcium in.
Hope that helps.
