Slight stabbing pain in bump

Hi all, I'm 25 weeks, and have a slight stabbing pain in my bump, near the top. Not agony, but weird. It started a yesterday, went away, and has just come back. I don't think its from doing too much, has come on when sitting down. It doesn't feel like the round ligament pain I've had. Not deep, more on the surface.

I'd call my midwife, but I don't have a number.

Anyone had something similar, or any advice?

Yes... I'm at the same stage as you and I had an odd pain, a bit like sharp throbbing pain at the top of my bum, in the middle just under by boob area. It was painful for like 2 days then went away. I got these answers when i asked the question - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/1514837-In-pain-and-feeling-sorry-for-myself-AND-Im-on-25-weeks. Hope it helps and you feel better soon xx

You really should have a number for your midwife...ring where you're planning to give birth/where she is based and find out her number.

Hmm, I have no idea where she's based...she just comes into the GP surgery. I'm moving borough next week meaning that I won't be having the baby in the place where I had the scan. I actually have no idea where I'm having the baby.

Thank you Sammy :-)

Really, she should have given you a midwife's contact details in your pregnancy notes. You could ring the GP's instead.

That's the same as me...I moved at about 20 weeks pregnant and didn't know where I was giving birth for a couple of weeks, but they were very good at sending my notes from one district to another.

I get this (17 weeks).

Well I get a mixture of ligament pain, bruise-y type pain and then sharp stabbing pains like a stitch.

I think its just stuff moving about tbh. The sharp stabbing pain feels like I've got something trapped or pinched, its very uncomfortable and takes my breath away sometimes - makes it hard to stand properly upright for a minute or two.

I thought it was normal?

I guess ive experience my ligament pain more "inside", kind of underneath my bump. This pain feels like its on the surface of my bump (but under the skin)
