burning sort of pain at back of throat!

What is this? It bloody hurts!

Heartburn? Tonsillitis?

but it doesn't hurt in my chest, can it still be heartburn? Will gaviscon fix it?

Flisspaps, not tonsilitis as I get that a lot. It's further back in my throat, like where the food goes. I also have some white and yellow streaks at the back of my throat.

It's really uncomfortable and making me feel v nauseous.

White and yellow streaks and a pain in your throat? See the GP - if it is heartburn they can prescribe disgusting Gaviscon.

Yes, you don't always get chest pain with heartburn (I don't) - give gaviscon a go :)

Heartburn/reflux. Gaviscon or peptac, great stuff. I lived on the stuff!! Try sleeping slightly sat up too, stops it flowing upwards quite so much

Definitely sounds like heartburn/acid reflux. I'm 33 weeks and suffering badly with it this time. I can't stomach gaviscon so am going through packets of extra strong mints!

I have been drinking gaviscon though as dp said was probably reflux. I went to see nurse today and she said my oesophagus is a mess from acid and has given me omeprazole, bit worried about taking it though. Has anyone else?

I did when pregnant with my DS and it was a miracle cure! I'd spent a fortune on gaviscon which didn't really work at all and eventually went to the doctor well in to my pregnancy and got given that. One tablet a day I think it was and no more problems. Can't recommend it highly enough. Give it a go!

I took it at 2p and the pain went away, I was thinking, "bloody hell this is amazing". But now it's back and I've been sick twice. GRRRR!
