Basically that is it, husband and I have been trying for a few months. Had tingly breasts, cramps, spotting, feeling icky etc. first response I did first thing this morning had very faint positive line - clear blue digi this afternoon not pregnant. Period due tomorrow. Do you think i just need to wait a few more days for it to show. I thought clear blue was the most sensitive? Any help/ advice/ experience

hi how do I add images to this ?

ive had 3 faint posative test results appeared straight away but beed others opinions

CL1982 · 02/01/2018 20:33

@Rsmith9 You add them in the app by pressing on the paper clip. To be honest you may get more luck in the TTC section but we'll always give you and opinion here!

@jessicawoodham are you ok? Do you need to talk about this with anyone? Can you get yourself a First Response year and check using your first mornings wee chick?

I hope I can get some answers. I was six weeks and four days pregnant, and I had a miscarriage May 15. I just started bleeding June 9 but it's a lot. I've taken first response tests and get faint lines. Keep in mind on May 14 my HCG levels were 41,000 then I lost the baby the next night on the 15th. I had to go back to the ER on the 17th and they said my levels were 6,000. Almost 2 weeks ago I went back and they said my HCG level was 25. So I read some of the posts about the digital clear blue easy tests because mine said negative and I took it apart like people said and there was another blue line in there just not as dark. I'm praying I'm pregnant. This was my 12th pregnancy. I'm 41 and I have nine living children. I've lost 3 and I've recently lost my Mom. I'm just really confused. Please help!

Can anyone help me.. I think I'm going crazy 🙈 so me and my partner have been ttc for a year and a half. My period was due on Saturday so I took a first response test, it was positive!! So I went and got a clear blue and it was NEGATIVE. From then every morning I've been doing a test either first response or clear blue (not digital) and each time the first response is positive but any other brand says negative!! Has anyone had this before.. I'm going crazy trying not to get excited.. xx

Hello I am 3 days late on my period. I took a clear blue test & it come back positive but I then took one that tells me how many weeks & it said not pregnant. But I’ve been having really bad period type pains but I don’t know what it could be. Does anyone know? Am I pregnant or am I not?

joannes1 · 11/04/2020 19:44

It looks like a faint positive to me! Was it a clearblue digital? Do you have another first response for the morning to compare? X

Pineapplebaby · 11/04/2020 22:00

The sensitivity for a First Response test is 6.3 mIU/mL whereas a Clearblue Digital is 25 so you need a much higher concentration of HCG in your urine to get a positive. As HCG doubles every two-three days, you’re looking at nearly a week from now realistically before getting a positive on a digital. Doesn’t mean you’re not pg though, the First Response certainly looks positive to me 😊 good luck x

joannes1 · 12/04/2020 00:20

Thanks ladies yes it was a digital one with clear blue which was negative I’m going to do first thing again x

Harkness321 · 17/04/2020 20:21

This just happened to me. I used my first pee of the day and got a faint blue line. Then used a digital yet and got not pregnant. I’m going to take another digital tomorrow morning. But it’s alittle confusing. This is my first pregnancy and my husband and I have been trying for a year.

joannes1 · 17/04/2020 22:16

Hey stay positive I’m pregnant and according to clear blue this week I’m 3/4 weeks so not sure why it said not last week every day the first response got darker and darker x

Kirajones · 16/07/2020 11:41

Getting lost what's people say to these tests my period isn't due till end of this month (2weeks time) and I have had very faint line on cheap tests but when I have done clear blue came up negative i have the feelings of being pregnant but am scared that it's going 2 be a phantom pregnancy I don't understand

sel2223 · 16/07/2020 13:14

@Kirajones this thread is 8 years old, you really need to start your own.
In response to your question though, no, it's not a pregnancy or phantom pregnancy yet if you are not due on your period until 2 weeks time.
You normally ovulate/conceive around the middle of your cycle so, with a monthly cycle, that would mean you are around halfway now.
That means you are currently around your most fertile so this is around the time you ccould potentially conceive. (Obviously this is approximate as every woman is different but it's a good guideline to follow).

sel2223 · 16/07/2020 13:16

Sorry, pressed post too soon.

If you have a BFP now then it would be from the previous month, but then I'd expect more than a faint line at 6 weeks

joannes1 · 16/07/2020 15:57

I’m 4 month pregnant now and can honestly say the digital one was wrong always use a test with pink ink seems to work considerably earlier than others hope it helps and good luck ladies x

Dariang · 15/02/2021 16:31

Hello there. I dont normally post buti am going crazy! I have a 2 year old daughter. So I have been pregnant before. I started spotting pink 2 weeks after my period. It lasted for 3 days and then stopped. In the following 2 weeks I had spre breasts, I feel way more exhausted than I ever do . I took 2 first response tests and they both were faintly positive. 2 days later I am spotting a little again. What do you guys think? I know I'm going to get told to go to doctor, and I plan to. This is more just curiosity and hearing your opinions.

BlueberryPancake21 · 15/02/2021 17:07

@Dariang they will probably tell you to wait and test again. A faint test obviously does mean you are pregnant. Spotting can be normal in early pregnancy - there can be a variety of causes from implantation bleeding (which can happen as late as 8 weeks apparently) to small bleeds that happen for no apparent reason. It can also be a sign of pregnancy loss. All you can really do is wait - there's nothing anyone can do to change the outcome this early. The waiting is really hard though. Good luck.

Nashsophie13 · 27/04/2021 08:50

Hello, I was hoping to have a bit of advice last September we unfortunately had a missed miscarriage and have been trying since to become pregnant. I'm a day late and impatient so done a cheap test from home bargains and I have a faint positive line so I've just brought a clear blue test where it tells you the weeks and it says not pregnant and advice would be great. Wondering if this had happened to anyone else x

REAK21 · 24/09/2021 14:15

Had a faint line Wednesday afternoon, clear blue digi this afternoon "no pregnant"
:/ confusing

REAK21 · 24/09/2021 14:16

Also 2 days late for period :/

Missaviles95 · 09/01/2023 03:33

Back in December 8th I brought Asda's brand of pregnancy test, I took it came back positive and then brought the clear blue + came back faint but positive and I brought cassette pregnancy test came back positive and then on December 15th I wasn't sure if i was on my period or I had light pink blood I think they call it spotting or implantation bleeding I had a few days, I also brought a first response took 4 or 5 of them came back faint line, when I spoke to my gp he said I'm still early into my pregnancy and wait a couple of days for the line to be darker, when I took the clear blue digital it's also said not pregnant maybe my hcg is not high enough for it to say pregnant and how many weeks

ALICECURRIE · 09/03/2023 15:03
