Vitamin B6 for morning sickness - what dosage worked for you?

Hi everyone

Just starting to suffer from morning sickness again this time (dc2) I had an awful experience last time round - getting sick 5-10 times a day from 6-20 weeks....and I really want to try something to tackle it this time round.

I've been reading about Vitamin B6 - have you used it? And if so how much do you need to take and how often? I have 50mg tablets from the pharmacy.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I just took one normal (50mg?) tablet a day and it helped a bit - well, I didn't think it was doing anything until they ran out and I didn't replace it, and then I definitely realised it was working!

However, the only thing that actually did anything for me was several Stemetil tablets a day from 8w until the day DD was born...

If you feel the sickness kicking in I'd go see the doctor and keep pestering for some anti-nausea meds. Especially if you have another DC to look after this time around.

Hope you feel better soon.

I took 10 mg 5 times a day -took a day or do to work but seemed to take the edge of it. Did need to take it in the middle of the might though else I felt terrible in the morning.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi!
thank you both so much for your replies - I've taken 25mg 3 times a day and amazingly I feel ok today! haven't retched and have some energy - it could be a 'good day' ..... hopefully it is working!
Thanks again
