I only posted on here a few days ago about how blue I was getting over the fact all my friends seem to be pregnant - I've suffered with stage 4 endometriosis for the last 3 years and the doctors were about to put me forward for a laparoscopy to help my chances of getting pregnant... but took a test last night, just a niggling feeling as I've been feeling a bit iffy the last few days and boobs a bit sore, and lo and behold I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!!!

I feel so totally overwhelmed... have miscarried twice before, but this is first time I've ever had sickness etc. so really hoping this one is the one that will stick. My husband is refusing to acknowledge pregnancy due to previous miscarriages - I understand how he feels but just really need somebody to be excited for me, so thought I would post on here :)

YAAAAAY I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! :D

Grin Congratulations!! Wishing you a safe, non-eventful boring pregnancy!

Do you have any idea how far along you are?

gardenpixies32 · 10/07/2012 07:58

Congratulations!!!! :)

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Woooo!

TiddlyBears · 10/07/2012 08:31

Perfectly normal to be having symptoms - lots of women 'feel pregnant' before taking the test. Congratulations indeed!! X

ItsMyLastOne · 10/07/2012 08:36

Congratulations! Grin

Isn't it funny how it happens after something like that. I got my BFP after giving up and putting my maternity stuff in the loft.

3 weeks on a clear blue is 5 weeks to anyone else isn't it? I was feeling nausea and having hot flushes at 5 weeks.

I'm also wishing you a very uneventful pregnancy.

Meringue33 · 10/07/2012 12:40

Brilliant! Congrats you! Xxxxx

phoenixrose314 · 10/07/2012 16:50

Thanks guys. Still doesn't seem quite real. You are all so lovely in here. So when do I make an appointment with doctors etc?

Amazing!!! Wow - better watch yourself now, my friend had those same problems, was told she could never have children then had 2 in the space of 20 months! Phew what a whirlwind that was! So hang on to your Mum hat - you might need it. Grin

Hope it goes well and congratulations.

My doctor didn't need to see me and was a waste of appointment as I just got passed onto midwife, so get straight onto the midwife team and get yourself a booking appointment (name of 1st visit). You need to see midwife well before you are 12 weeks so they can book your 12 week scan at the hospital. EEK! SO exciting.

That said, I didn't have those health issues, so maybe different, you may need to see both?

mrsalwaysawake · 10/07/2012 17:28

Congratumalations!
Hope all goes well.

I'd just phone the GP surgery and ask the receptionist what happens next - you might need an appt, you might just need to phone midwives, you might have to pop in to the surgery for some paperwork - depends on area and on where you want to have your baby.

phoenixrose314 · 11/07/2012 08:16

GinPalace, you've got me all excited again just when I'd calmed down!!! I'll book in with my local midwife for the beginning of August :) Ooooh it all seems more real now!!!
