so I woke up at 1am and felt really really sick I wasn't sick but very nearly was :( then I had pains over my stomach and braxton type tightening and across my back every sort of 3 mins? Not unbearable but enough to make me get up and pace around downstairs and start thinking oh Christ I better go and pack my bag and get mum over here!? ( then I needed the loo but wasnt loose just normal) and after that it all died down ? Does that sound like a practice run? Cause was very odd?

I had that a few days ago. Blooming annoying isn't it!? I think its a sign things are moving, albeit slowly, in the right direction. I'm trying now to make the most of my non-baby time...coffee, cakes and long lie ins. It'll happen when its ready ( I keep telling myself anyway!) X

Hopefully you're in bed now resting, but how are you feeling?

Cheekychops84 · 10/07/2012 12:16

Hello, yes went to bed for an hour . Feel ok now , no more twinges as of yet . I never had a show or lost my waters with my previous 2 so it usually starts with back ache then contractions so I'm jus waiting now . But probably won't start for a couple of weeks yet .

Hi Cheeky. I'm 40 + 1 at the mo. Glad you had a nap this morning...just listen to your body. But I don't need to tell u that - you have dc already!

Watch that headache. Ring MAU if it doesn't go ( I had high bp and headache yesterday and was admitted for induction. Luckily it went down before they inducted, so was released to freedom just after midnight).

My twinges happen in clusters, and I think ' ooh, this is it' but no...I'm sure its an exercise in patience! So today I've enjoyed coffee, cake and a chat with a good friend - making the most of it. ! I'm keeping the faith that I will know when it really is it and it does eventually happen!

Look after yourself! Book up some coffees and stuff to do so you are not just waiting for it, cos last week, that did my head in!

Yes sounds normal. First pregnancy I found it fairly obvious ie contractions did now go after changing position or taking paracetamol and became more frequent and sore. Second baby I had lots of sore contractions towards the end. Felt the baby was really low down and did not sleep they were so sore. But they were infrequent and were just sore. Ended up going to the hospital only to be told they wer "uterine irritations" but not doing anything!!!! Am having a c section this time so I won't have the pleasure ( after 2 emergency c- sections) - but I don't have the same types of contractions. Tho only 37.5 weeks. Make the most of the time resting! T
